This means we set certain size limits for how big we produce each batch. This allows us to exercise greater quality control and attention to detail.

We recommend moisturizing after each bathing experience. For the best experience, apply your OShea while your skin is still wet/damp. You may also apply products intermittently, as needed.
Our moisturizers are made with pure & natural ingredients so a little goes a long way. Typically you should feel at least 18 - 24hours of moisturizing love, depending on consistency of use and amount applied.
If your OShea Butter is in a warmer atmosphere and you begin to see the slight melted portion along the bottom, or your OShea is slightly melted upon delivery, SHAKE UP YOUR JAR and put it in the refrigerator or a cool place. If the melting is more agressive and the jar is almost all liquid, give the jar a few shakes consistently over a couple hours as the cooling takes place. The texture may feel different once it cools and solidifies, and that's okay, the goodness is still there and you should still use it as normal.
You should not exfoliate more than twice per week. During colder seasons you should reduce that to once per week.

No. Unless it is specified as a facial scrub, you should never use sugar scrub on your face. OShea Moisturizing Sugar Scrub is intended for external bodily use, excluding the face.
You may be using too much. Shea Butter is a sealer that helps lock hydration in your skin. OShea moisturizers are concentrated and a little goes a long way. You should only apply a dime size amount at a time to your hand, and rub your hands together vigorously to thin it out before applying it to your skin. Ensure your skin is clean and damp when applying so you lock in the moisture. Also, if your skin is excessively dry or parched, apply some water to the intended area before applying your OShea Butter. This will help seal hydration against your skin.
First, water is a thinning agent and will reduce the potency of the butter. Second, when trying to lock moisture in the skin, it is best to use something anti-water, rather than a water-based substance. Applying OShea Butter while your skin is clean and wet will go a greater distance than applying a water based formula to lock in moisture.
OShea Mnazi (OH - Shay) (Em - NAH - Zee).
OShea Mnazi is most effective when used on hair types three (3) and four (4). It is safe for locs, natural, permed and/or color treated hair.
It depends on your routine. You can use OShea Mnazi as a hot oil treatment, scalp dress, styling aid, heat protectant and more! We recommend using hair oil on freshly cleaned hair to lock in moisture while your hair is damp, and also for styling aid as needed. DO NOT OVER USE IT. Our oils are concentrated and you do not want to clog your pores by over applying.
Yes! It is great as a beard moisturizer and protectant. Apply to freshly washed beard or while beard is damp right after showering or washing your beard and remember to rub it against your underlying skin.
Yes! Not only is Shea Butter safe, it contains vital nutrients that can aid in hair growth, thickening, shine and protection. It is best to apply while your hair is clean and damp. All OShea Unscented Moisturizers are recommended for body, face, scalp and Hair.
Not always. An itchy scalp can be related to several things including dry scalp, stress, irritation and/or build-up, among other things. It may be in your best interest to use a nourishing hydrator like Mayme's Roses Balancing Hydration for Hair & Skin to add water and nutrients to the scalp and reduce scalp inflammation.
Follow your artist's instructions on how and when to begin care for your new tattoo/body art. Apply a thin layer of OShea Majesty after each cleansing. It is best to wear gloves during application, to protect the inked area. Re-apply as needed.
Yes. Getting a tatoo in an area where hair grows continuously, like the head can mean a slightly different healing experience than other areas. Likewise, areas of the skin where no hair grows (bottoms of the feet, palms of the hands) can also include a different healing process as the layers of the skin are slightly different in these areas. Also, areas that bend and contort often, like the abdomen can require closer attention as the constant movement may lengthen the healing process. Be sure to consult your artist for specific details based on the area tatted.
If your tattoo is in an area around the neck or shoulders and you have long hair, it is best to keep you hair tied up during recovery.
Try to keep clothing away from the tatted area during recovery. When clothing and garments are frequently touching the area it can cause itchiness and irritation.
DO NOT use perfumes, fragrances or essential oils directly on the tattooed area. Do not use lotions which contain alcohols or fragrances on the tattooed area.
Getting a tattoo triggers your immune system's responses. To improve blood flow to the region, reduce recovery time and scabbing and aid the body in healing it is best to get consistent water intake and healthy fruits and vegetables, especially during recovery. If you are under any physician's care, consult your physician to confirm water intake levels and what fruits/veggies are safe for consumption.
Antiperspirants are designed to block the underarm pores and prevent your body from releasing sweat, naturally.
Deodorants are designed to repel the unwanted body odor, and quench moisture, while allowing the body to naturally release sweat as intended. Touch of OShea only produces deodorants.

IF YOU ARE PREGNANT OR NURSING, CONSULT YOUR PHYSICIAN BEFORE USING OSHEA MARION, AS SOME OF OUR SCENT OPTIONS CONTAIN PEPPERMINT ESSENTIAL OIL.
Our natural deodorant is safe for both men and women, from teenagers to elders.
No. All of our scent options are 100% plant based essential oils and natural carrier oils.
Converting from an antiperspirant to a natural deodorant and Oshea Marion is one of the best overall choices you can make for your long term health. It will take some time for your body to make the transition, as you have years of experience with one and very little experience with the other. Your body may need to release some of the build up under the surface, associated with antiperspirant use. It is advised to give your body 30 - 60 days as a transition period, but IT IS WORTH IT. You will notice your body absorbs the natural deodorant and become adjusted to the essential oils and minerals, and it will be a glorious time thereafter.
OShea Marion is designed to naturally absorb into the skin, quench moisture, and prevent odor causing bacteria from surfacing. Depending on your environment and level of activity, you may see sweat stains when using OShea Marion, but thatโs okay. Your body is made to sweat to release toxins and buildup. What you want to ensure is that the sweat does not have foul unwanted odor. Not all natural deodorants are created equal. OShea Marion is highly effective to stop odor causing bacteria and to quench moisture in the armpit region for both men and women.
Yes. All of our products are unisex-by-design and we have a great male clientel base.
Yes. OSHEA MOIL, MOBUTTTA, AND MUTTER are all safe and great for both skin and hair! The Unscented* varieties are what we recommend if you are prurchasing strictly for hair & beard care. *We do not recommend using any of our Cinnamon scented products on your face, goatee, or beard.
Our most popular scents are Virginia's Vanilla Pound Cake & Sissy's Candied Citrus and both are well loved by our male clientel base. We also have several popular seasonal scents which are also "male inspired" such as Bruce's Bergamot & Black Pepper and Uncle Pop's Patchoulli.
